Well everyone has stuff that happens to them in life but people sometimes fail to think about that. This activity is an eye opener to the people around us and we get to learn things about each other that we never knew. Everyone already knows me because mine was read on friday. And the others that were read were pretty amazing too. I look forward to hearing what the one's that haven't been read are about.

I think that this is a great activety to get to know other people in the class. It give everyone a good idea of what is going on in the lives of their classmates. Whether or not it is annonomis really doesn't matter. We don't need to know the specific people who are having problems in life, only that there ARE people in this class who may be struggling with school, family, friends, etc.
It was also nice to hear some positives in some people's papers! =)

I liked how we got a chance to hear what everyone goes through in life. It taught us to think about what we say because you could have no idea what someone has been through or who could be offended.

It was interesting to see what was happening or going on in everyones life and even though names weren't said i think that was better because then people could have wrote more freely. And I think everyone realized we have a lot more in common with each other than we thought.

This activity is intense because whatever is being read is real and is happening or has happened to one of our peers. Writing is a very good tool to vent out hidden emotions and events.

The reason why I had my name read aloud, well, I don't really know. I reckon that I'm very used to sharing my writing and am comfortable with people knowing what is on my mind. However, the last two things I want is being pitied and being judged solely on the things that I put into the writing. Also, I was surprised that hardly anyone else had their names read, but I am okay with that. A lot of them were very moving.
I cannot wait to read the rest of them later on this week.

It was interesting wondering who's was who's. Some of them were happy and others were sad. But it helped in us getting to know each other a little better.

I learned a lot from this activity. Some things that people wrote surprised me. It was interesting to see how many people had someone with cancer in their family that affected them. I know for me it was hard when my grandma and aunt had cancer.

this was a pretty good activity. it changed the perspective on others. even though some people didn't share who's paper it was, it helped to stop and think about others and their life.

I thought this was a great activity. Listening about other people's lives really made me think that others aren't too different. I was also surprised by what others had going on in their lives. It's just so surprising that you least expect a person to be in a certain situation - jobs, friends, etc... All I see every day are people who are occupied with gossiping or talking about the latest game.

I am eager to hear some more papers, even if they are anonymous. It gives some interesting insight into our peers.

I really liked hearing peoples thoughts. It makes everyone a little more open minded around each other. Im glad we didn't share the names though because it keeps people from judging each other. I hope we get to hear the rest of them soon.

i thought that they were interesting, but i would have prefered to have had them read out loud in the gymnastics room because the floor there is a lot softer. by the time i left room 18 my butt was asleep.

I thought that this activity was intense. There was a lot of things going on in people's lives that I never really thought would happen to some of the people in class. This activity gave me an insight to what people were going through and how they viewed there lives.

I thought this activity was good because it helped us grow to know eachother. I didn't realize all the things that were happening in others lives.

I thought this assignment was a good one because I think it's really important that we as a class open up to each other about what happens in our lives. The more we know about each other, the more we realize that we need to respect each other.

It was really awesome to learn new things about people. Even though names weren't said, I realized that I actually do have a lot in common with people in the class.

I felt that although they were anonymous, I could still sense who they were. Based both on the reactions of people who's were being read and of what i know of people already. I cant wait to hear the rest of them soon.

I don't really mind it. I understand that there is value in discussing the sad things in our lives, but I don't think this is an appropriate format at all. I think speaking to parents or friends is a much better idea than using a captive audience.

Still, though, I don't mean to belittle anybody's issues. This activity was certainly an eye opener.

I liked this activity because we really got to know some of the things that are/ or have happened to people in the class and it really made me think about the things that people go through on an everyday basis.

I feel that the if you really knew me activity is always really great and a good way to show people how alike we can all really be, even though we don't all show it on the outside. i always enjoy hearing what everyone says and how much they are willing to share about themselves with the entire class.

I think it is great that everybody is beginning to become more comfortable with each other. Some things that were shared were very personal and it must have been really hard to share them. Also, I think everyone was very respectful listening. That makes it a lot easier when people are sharing things about their lives. I now realize how students my age can hide their lives and they don't always show what is going on in their lives to other people.
